Women of Achievement Awards - 2009

Women’s Leadership Network hosted the 2nd annual Women of Achievement Awards on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at the Grand River Center, Dubuque, Iowa.

Over 320 community members were in attendance to honor 58 nominees. Two women were award in each of the six categories. They were:

• Achievements in Her Field:  Ann Duchow, Dubuque Community Schools & Peggy Hudson, American Trust and Savings Bank

• Growth and Accomplishments in Personal Life:  Karin Campbell, Iowa Workforce Development &  Kim Krapfl, Medical Associates Clinic PC

• Service and Support of Community:  Lori Thielen, Heartland Financial &  Judy Wolf,  John Deere Dubuque Works

• Organizational Impact:  B’Ann N. Dittmar, U.S. Bank & Wendy Mihm-Herold, Iowa Workforce Development

• Unsung Champion:  Martha Inveld, Clarke College & Marlene Woller, U.S. Bank

• The Wuppy (Young women demonstrating leadership ability):  Danielle Gratton, Dupaco Community Credit Union & Sarah Harris, Greater Dubuque Development Corporation

The Women of Achievement Awards ceremony was designed to recognize and honor women who have already, or aspire to, provide significant contributions in their professional, personal and volunteer roles in the community as evidenced by contributions to addressing significant issues, being a positive influence in the community, applying creativity or innovation in solving problems, overcoming challenges, mentoring colleagues or other, and sustaining a record of accomplishments in and contributions to her field.
