Annual Luncheon 2010

WLN held its annual meeting on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the Dubuque Golf and Country Club. During this meeting, the voting results were announced for the board officers up for election. Marcie Rowan was elected president-elect and Crissy Thoms was re-elected as Treasurer. It was also announced that three new people were appointed to the board: Lynne Hager as special events chair, Brittney Jacobs as programming chair and Barb Myers as member-at-large. After the election results, Pam Hillary, owner of Kneading Minds, spoke on "Being a Person of Influence." During this presentation, Pam discussed the fact that everyone influences thousands of people over their lifetimes. Who are you influencing and how are you influencing them? Who influences you? One point that hit home with many of the attendees was being a good listener, meaning letting people finish their sentences. Thank you to Pam Hillary for an inspiring discussion, thank you to the Dubuque Golf and Country Club for a delicious lunch and attentive service and congratulations to the new WLN board for 2010 - 2011.
