Women's Leadership Conference

WLN held its annual luncheon on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the Dubuque Golf and Country Club. Sister Nancy Schreck, president of the Dubuque Franciscan Sisters, presented on women and leadership in today’s world. This inspiring presentation discussed the important elements of leadership, the differences between male and female leadership, leadership in a global world, and much more. Thank you, Sister Nancy, for this moving presentation!

Also during this luncheon, votes were counted for two open board positions for July 2009 – June 2010. Jennifer Steines was elected as president-elect and Carrie Cannon was re-elected as secretary. In addition, it was announced that Mary Ann Conzett was appointed to the board as our new membership director. Congratulations ladies! The WLN board would like to give a huge “thank you!” to Wendy Wheelock, our out-going past president (pictured right). Wendy’s leadership has had a tremendously positive impact on WLN.
